proximity to BSI bus station, adequately equipped kitchen, good heating and hot water
The building lacks charm!!! Curtains touching the bed are a bit gross, and the shower head had a minor leak!!! The wifi connection was troublesome, needing frequent fixes!!! More attention to cleanliness is definitely needed!!!

A few things could use some attention. The absence of in-person reception means checking in can be a bit cumbersome. you'll have to rely on messaging for your room pin. The lighting in the rooms is dim, which makes moving around a bit of a challenge. the shared bathroom cleanliness could be improved—leaving guests with a less-than-ideal experience. For a multi-night stay, amenities like a wardrobe would have made things more convenient, not to mention basic essentials like tea and sugar in the kitchen were lacking. Oh, and the floors could use a proper cleaning. dust was pretty noticeable in parts.

My stay at Reykjavik Central Guesthouse was delightful, especially due to its fantastic location just a short stroll from iconic sites like Hallgrimskirkja. The room was spacious and equipped with a mini fridge, making it convenient. The kitchen had all the essentials for preparing meals.
Some aspects of cleanliness could improve.

Not exactly what I expected
The location is just a charming 15-minute stroll to the heart of the city. the variety of coffee-making options in the kitchen is impressive, which I truly appreciated during my stay.
Sadly, the cleanliness left much to be desired. the shared bathroom was particularly neglected over my stay. I wish the pillows and towels had been more plentiful and fresh.

The Budget Double Room was comfy, especially with a really good bed. The recently renovated bathroom was a nice touch, clean and tidy! One downside was that the room felt a bit small, but it didn’t bother us much. Having a mini fridge was great for snacks. It was a chill spot to unwind after a day of exploring.

I loved the cozy atmosphere and the super comfy bed in my room. It was great to unwind in the shared lounge and enjoy coffee in the kitchen after a day of exploring. Just a heads up, the corridors could use a little sprucing up, but it didn't take away from my stay at all! ☕
